Habib Meftah Boushehri (born in Bouchehr, Iran) is an Iranian percussionist. ==Career== Meftah Boushehri began studying music at the age of 20, playing Dammam (a traditional percussion) and flute. He was a member of the Shanbehzadeh Ensemble and played at Festival Rome Europa and at Théâtre de la Ville in 2001. In the same year, Meftah Bouchehri was invited to perform during the contemporary dance show ''La Babelle heureuse'' by the French company Montalvo-Hervieu.〔http://www.africultures.com/php/index.php?nav=spectacle&no=140〕 During his first stay in France, he worked with Algerian and Armenian’s Ensemble and jazz musicians. In 2004, he came back to Iran and produced his first solo album, ''Dey Zangeroo'' (traditional from south of Iran and rhythmics). He suffered from government pressure, and was not allowed to perform in Iran. Three years later, while still living in Iran, Boushehri was allowed by special permission to accompany, composer Nader Machayekhi to Sankt Pölten in Austria and Shanbezadeh Ensemble in Norway. Never going back Boushehri has been living in Paris France with his family since 2008. He met the oudist Shahram Gholami and formed the band Solouk Duo.
